Έτσι χαρακτήρισε το Μινωικό ανάκτορο του Γαλατά, ο ανασκαφέας του Δρ Γεώργιος Ρεθεμνιωτάκης, κατά την ξενάγηση του στο πλαίσιο του Φεστιβάλ "Ο Κύκλος του Πολιτισμού". Μας χάρισε ένα συγκινητικό ταξίδι στον χρόνο, σε έναν χώρο - σημείο αναφοράς για το χωριό μας αλλά και όλη την Πεδιάδα.

🏛️ "Palace of the Sun": The Minoan Palace of Galatas, as referred to by its excavator, Dr. Georgios Rethemniotakis. Located on the hill of Galatiani Kefala. It is the oldest complex of this kind in Crete which has all the main architectural features of the Minoan palace.

🗓️ Save the date: On August 6th, you 'll have the unique chance to get a tour at the Minoan Palace of Galatas, during a local festival that celebrates the local culture & history. There are more events on that day: traditional baking of bread (17:00) and a concert (21:00) at the yard of the old school of Galatas.
